"Are you Mr. Fairy Tale?" he asked innocently.

"I'm not," the writer shook his head in surprise.

"But you are. You write fairy tales!" the little boy did not let himself be discouraged.

"Not really," the man shook his head. "I haven't written many of them. Just a few..."

"But I like them. I know them. My mother reads them to me..."

"Yeah, and which one?"

"Maybe the one about the robot Amik..." the little boy trumpled.

"I wrote one, that's true," the writer agreed.

"You wrote them, but not many! You have to write more. We've already read them all..." the little boy added sadly.

The man chuckled in amusement.

"And what of that? I really don't know much about fairy tales. So why should I write them?" he asked.

The boy couldn't understand his adult-intentioned question, but he managed to answer beyond all expectations. First he thought deeply, then he put his hand under his chin, rubbed it expertly and spoke importantly: "You know, I think that every time a writer writes a new fairy tale - a new star starts to shine in the sky."

There was something to that! The writer thought about it thoughtfully. YES! That was it! That was a pretty good reason to write new fairy tales.

"Okay, I like that. Lighting up the stars with fairy tales. But tell me - how many should I write?"

The boy thought for a moment again and then blurted out: "A lot! As many as possible!"

"And how much is a lot?" the writer wanted to know.

"Oh, thousands!" the boy threw up his hands triumphantly.

"Hmmm, good. And how many thousand?"

"At least three!" the boy blurted out enthusiastically.

"Three thousand?" the writer was surprised. "That's a huge number. Huge! Do you realize that?"

The boy nodded his head and then waved his hand enthusiastically: "At least there will be a lot of new, bright stars in the sky!"

The writer liked that. "Good. Then three thousand..."

"Hand over it!" the boy looked at him seriously and held out his little right hand.

The writer considered for a moment how long it would take him to write three thousand fairy tales. Three thousand, children, is a sky-high number. It's literally a sea of fairy tales and he hesitated a little. In the meantime, the boy eyed him with a searching gaze.

"Okay, agreed," he finally squeezed the warmly outstretched little hand.

"Do you promise?" the little boy wanted to make sure.

"I promise. And how long should I write them?" the writer smiled at him.

The boy waved his hand happily: "It doesn't matter. Especially when new stars light up in the sky."

And so it all began. And if God grants the writer good health, a clear mind and enough joy in his heart, sooner or later three thousand new fairy-tale stars will shine in the fairy-tale sky. What he promised, he intends to keep, because promises, especially those we make by shaking hands, must be kept.

Better believe it!!

That's it, children. Remember that.

And that's the end of the first fairy tale.
