One day, in the forest behind the city, a GREAT DISASTER happened!
A poacher, who was poaching there, threw away a cigarette, and from that cigarette the pine needles caught fire, and from the pine needles the whole forest caught fire! What a disaster!
The animals immediately ran out of the forest to save themselves. Does, stags, wild boars, hares, squirrels, foxes, owls, ants, even all the insects, and the little Titmouse too โ everyone gathered on the meadow and stared at the devastation!
What a disaster it was. Their home โ the forest โ was burning.
โOh no,โ wailed the fox. โNo one will put this out. We have just lost our home.โ
โOh dear,โ groaned the bear. โWhat a disaster, what a disaster.โ
โIt is a great tragedy, but there is nothing we can do,โ lamented the owl.
Above everyoneโs heads flew the Titmouse, flapping her wings bravely and calling out determinedly: โNo! No! We must do something. We cannot just stand here and watch! I will try to put out the fire!โ
The wolf laughed at her: โHa, ha! You?! What do you want to put out? You are tiny. So what do you want to do?โ
โI will fly to the city, there is a fire reservoir there, I will take a few drops of water into my beak and pour them onto the fire!โ
The squirrel laughed at her: โHee, hee, hee โ you are crazy! A few drops of water on such a big fire? Almost a quarter of the forest is already burning. It is pointless. Sit here with us and watch the destruction and do nothing.โ
โI cannot just sit and do nothing!โ chirped the Titmouse excitedly.
โIt is impossible to put out such a big fire with drops,โ added the old bear. โWhat you are doing is foolish and silly.โ
โBut no! I must at least try!โ burst out the Titmouse determinedly, shook her wings, and hurried off on her way to the city.

She then kept flying tirelessly to the fire reservoir, each time taking a few drops of water into her beak and flying back toward the forest.
The firefighters noticed it well:
โLook! That frightened Titmouse is flying to our reservoir, taking drops of water and returning in the direction of the forest.โ
โThat is strange,โ the fire chief shook his head.
โThat is really strange,โ said the other firefighters.
โSomething tells me we should check it out,โ the chief scratched his chin and decided that the fire helicopter would fly after the Titmouse to find out what was going on. And so it happened.
The fire helicopter flew after the Titmouse and soon saw the devastation!
โFIRE! FIRE! THE FOREST IS BURNING!โ the firefighters shouted to the base over the radio, and a real alarm broke out. The firefighters immediately rolled out with all their equipment, with all the trucks, all the fire helicopters took off and fought the fire with all their might, and because they had many fire engines and the helicopters dropped water on the burning forest from above, they soon managed to put out the great fire.
When the last flames burned out and the firefighters returned to the city, the animals could return to the forest again. There was a great celebration, and the little Titmouse became famous! All the animals patted her wings and shouted: โYou are our heroine! You did it! You saved our home! You did not manage to put out the fire with drops from your beak, which we did say was impossible, but thanks to chance and luck you brought the people, and they helped us. You are a true HEROINE!โ
And the Titmouse smiled modestly and said: โI couldnโt just sit and watch our forest burn! The main thing is that everything turned out wellโฆโ
