Choo Choo Train Keeps on Going
Fairy-tale Introduction:
Far away from the city, where hills and mountains begin, a little train woke up one morning. It was bright red, shiny, and had a long line of wagons. Each wagon could sing, so when the train set off, the whole track sounded like a cheerful orchestra.
“Choo, choo, the train goes climbing up and winding down,” the wagons sang while the wheels clattered on the rails. The little train knew the way well and was never afraid of sharp bends or steep climbs.
At the front sat the driver – a smiling man in a blue cap. When the wheels pounded in rhythm, he nodded his head to the beat, and his eyes sparkled with joy.
People from villages waved, children jumped and laughed, because wherever the train appeared, good cheer appeared too.
When they came to a tall iron bridge, the wagons fell silent for a moment. Below them roared a wild river, and the water glittered like a thousand silver fish.
“Don’t be afraid,” called the driver. “The tracks will hold us safe!”
And right away the first wagon sang: “Clatter, clatter, what a delight, over the bridge we dance so light!”
The other wagons joined in and sang so loudly that even the fish in the river could hear. They leapt high out of the water and splashed it into a joyful silver rain.
The train puffed happily along until it reached a dark tunnel. All around was pitch black, and only the wheels clicked: clippety-clap, clippety-clap.
“Toot, toot!” whistled the driver, and the echo answered back: “Toot, toot!”
The wagons burst out laughing: “Hello, hello!” and the tunnel immediately returned their voices. It was such fun that they hardly noticed how quickly they had passed through.
Inside, it sounded like a magical concert – every whistle multiplied, every word bounced back as if enchanted. The wagons tried singing whole songs and listened to their voices tumbling and twisting. Even the driver laughed in the end and whistled so loudly that the echo made it seem as if the whole tunnel were laughing with him.
Beyond the tunnel spread a wide, sunlit meadow. Flowers swayed in the breeze, and butterflies danced in the air. At the little station, animals were waiting – bunnies, deer, and even a hedgehog with a red apple on its back.
All of them waved happily as the train passed by. The wagons sang even more joyfully, the wheels clattered in rhythm, and the driver hummed along to the tune.
Even the birds on the meadow began to add their songs to the train’s whistle, creating a cheerful concert that filled the whole valley. The bunnies stood on their hind legs as if conducting, the deer skipped into a dance, and the little hedgehog with his apple swayed to the beat. The meadow turned into a grand festival in honor of the train that brought joy.
Everywhere the train went, villagers waved, children skipped and laughed, and even dogs barked happily, because wherever the train appeared, good cheer appeared too.
The whole countryside turned into one big joyful celebration.
And the little train puffed on, whistling, clattering, and carrying with it a fairy tale that never ends.
